Everyone loves to read words of encouragement and positivity. Max Lucado, a Christian author said: “God never said that the journey would be easy, but He did say that the arrival would be worthwhile“.
We live in a broken world where everything calls us toward selfishness and despair. Sin, discouragement and fear steal joy, our bodies break down, our plans fade, and our dreams die. Instead of rejoicing of the good things that God is doing in our church, we let the enemy to discourage us and we start questioning God.
In the last few weeks, our church its been going through trials and difficulties. A lot of people are going through illness, cancer, positive Covid cases and others through tiredness and low morale. A time of discouragement and fears. In these hard times it is difficult to find hope. But there is hope in the midst of hopelessness.
God takes our trials and tests and turns them into a testimony. Your story, your tests, your trials, your circumstances will become a beacon of hope for someone else that is going through the same situation as you are.
God commanded that His people to encourage each other because He knew we would need it. And in these hard times we need to encourage each other, understand each other, pray for each other and support each other.
2 Corinthians 4:9-10 says:
We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.
In these hard times we are called to trust the Lord and Him alone.
1Peter 5:7 says:
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
We love this church very much. Each one of you is valued and loved at Connection. As leaders, we want to see overcoming, victory, blessings, strength and strong faith in your life. In order to overcome these trials, we need to devote ourselves to prayer and fasting. And that is what we will do as a church. We would like to invite you to join our church leadership for 21 day of fasting and prayer.
We encourage you through this time of fasting and prayer to read and study Psalm 51.
Here I a summary of what we would like us to do:
We start tomorrow 21st of October all the way through 10th of November.
Let’s unite our hearts together in prayer and fasting for our families, for our church, for our people.
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
